Story:
Prince, who comes from a poor family, travels to the United States in search of work. He meets Neha after several futile job searches. After that, the couple enters a no-strings-attached relationship. But when Prince becomes entangled in a murder investigation, all hell breaks loose. What's the backstory to the murder? What impact does it have on the couple's lives
Plus Points:
The American Dream is mostly set in the United States. The film will appeal to the younger generation of Indian immigrants to the United States. The difficulties faced by the majority of freshly arrived Indians in the United States are realistically depicted.
The finale twist is the film's heart and soul, and it's a powerful one. The accompanying explanation sequences are genuine, despite the fact that they appear manufactured and unnatural at first. The final section has been handled admirably.
You may want to read this post :
Prince and Neha both had excellent performances. Neha, in particular, is stunning on screen and emotes beautifully. The remainder of the supporting cast has done a decent job.
Minus Points:
The major twist in the climax is virtually solely responsible for the American Dream. As a result, the majority of the first hour is lacklustre and uninteresting. The scenes depicting the protagonist's problems are sympathetic to many people, although they are predictable.
For the most part, the story is inconsistent. The tempo of the proceedings fluctuates throughout the movie, which is a result of the lack of a well-rounded storyline. The section leading up to the major climax needed to be emphasised more.
Technical Departments:
Koushik, the filmmaker, has written a simple but effective tale. He does a good job with the emotional aspect. However, his narrative is a little shaky. The film would have been lot more interesting to watch if the first hour had been more fascinating.
Verdict:
The climax twist is a big part of the American Dream. The ending is well-executed, but the early exchanges are uninteresting, and the action slows down from time to time. If you have some free time this weekend, you might want to check out this film.
